1. What is the best photograph you have taken? Describe your photo.
This is the best photo that I have taken. It contains foreground, middle ground, and background. The wooden post in the foreground is in focus while the rest of the picture is blurred.
2. Compositionally, what is strong about your photo? What photographic elements and principles of design are present in your work?
The components that are strong about my photo are that it contains foreground, middle ground, and background. It contains line and
the fact that one part of the picture is in focus while the rest of it is blurred. You can see the detail on the post with the chipped paint and
the ridges in the wood.
3. Conceptually, why is this piece important to you? what meaning or personal significance does the photo have?
This piece is important to me because I love being by the sea. It has a comforting feel to me. I also enjoy taking pictures that play with the
depth of field of objects.
4. Is there anything you would do to improve your photo if you could recreate it?
If I could recreate the photo I would have liked for a little more of the wooden post in the picture and back out the view a little more, but
keep the depth of field as it is.
